All About The Tie Gallery

The Tie Gallery opened for business in August 2002, by Shirley Edwards, a self–taught artist, who was born and still lives in East London. Shirley realised her talent for painting at a young age and won prizes at school and exhibitions. She still loves painting seascapes and exhibits them with her other artwork. Shirley started designing neckties for her boyfriend, who received compliments and queries where to buy them. Her ties were also featured in a national newspaper and fashion magazine. As a result, The Tie Gallery received their first commission to design neckties for staff for a catering company based in the City.
